NHK TECHNOLOGY

NHK helmets are committed to always give the best products with perfect quality. The process production of NHK helmet has been through many of production processes which is supported with the latest high technology and best materials. NHK helmets are created for maximum safety protection and comfort for all bikers.

1. HELMET SHELL

Shell or Hard Outer Shell is the most important security component on the helmet. The quality and level of hardness of the helmet shell is determined from ABS plastic materials, kevlar, fiberglass or carbon fiber. The helmet shell will absorbs energy when there is hard impact happen, the shell will distributes that energy to other areas of the shell’s surface. NHK Helmet Shells are made with high quality materials that are not only very strong, lightweight, elastic, and resistant to impact but also made in accordance with established security standards.

2. AIR VENTILATION

Air vents System on helmet are usually located on the front of the chin, over the head, back of the head or on the back of the neck. The function of this ventilation slot is to keep the air circulation as well as the entrance and exit air so that the inside of the helmet still feels cool and comfortable when its used.

NHK Ventilation System cooling, drying air into the helmet, and use areas of low air pressure to the rear of the helmet to draw warm, damp air through the exhaust outlets and into the outside environment. The air vent feature on the NHK helmet uses a wind tunnel to maximize the performance of air outflow on the helmet. The placement and formation of perfect inlets and outlets, along with the air ducts created inside the EPS, are the main base of air vents to work optimally. NHK’s ventilation systems directs a high priority feature / function during testing phases of new helmet development, NHK utilizes its state-of-the-art wind tunnel to maximize ventilation performance. The perfect placement and shaping of the inlets and outlets, along with air channels created within the EPS liner, are the basis for optimum ventilation so its all can be function well.

3. SHIELD/VISOR

NHK shields protect the rider against wind, dirt, insects and NHK Visor or Helmet Shields is one of the important part of helmet, its for the comfort of riders and be protected from dust, wind, rain and other objects that are potentially exposed to the eye while riding. In addition, Helmet Shields use to protect the eyes from sun’s damaging UV rays.

Helmet Shield / 3D Visor is a convex glass made from plastic material that is not easily broken or break when its drop fell down and bent. NHK helmet Visor is made from high quality material that is Polycarbonate, and at the time of 3D injection process, All NHK shields are tested to ensure compliance with the International certification standards.

Visor / helmet Shield in general has 4 types of colors, they are Clear, Rainbow, Smoke, Silver and now some manufacturers produce several other colors such as Pink, Blue and Yellow.

4. FOAM / EPS LINER

Styrofoam or absorbing liner is located inside the helmet. EPS is located between the shell (Hard Outer Shell) and Interior foam in the helmet (Interior Comfort Padding). Styrofoam is made of polystyrene or polypropylene.

The EPS liner of a helmet is designed to absorb the energies of an impact and protect the risk of concussion. EPS coatings from NHK helmets are specially designed to absorb very strong impacts. NHK’s innovative Dual-Layer EPS, Multi-Density EPS liner systems not only provide enhanced impact absorption by utilizing varying densities of foam in key areas around the rider’s head, they are designed to allow cooling air to travel unrestricted through tunnels created in the EPS, so it will created a good air ventilation inside the NHK helmet.

5. HELMET INTERIOR

NHK Helmet interior system is designed with extra care and consideration to some detail and perfect size in order to provide maximum comfort and hold during all forms of riding. Most of the NHK helmets are equipped with fully removable, washable interior liner, and 3D interior shaped to match the contours of a rider’s head. It is have been adjusted to the rider’s ergonomic contours to keep the riders feel comfortable while even when riding at high speed.

6. CHIN STRAP

The main function of the helmet fastener or often called Chinstrap is to be able to attach the helmet firmly to the head. This is done by using a chinstrap with proper tensile strength and extensibility. This Chinstrap is usually mounted strongly on the shell of a helmet using metal rivet. The helmet strap on the chin should always be installed when you ride on a motorcycle to keep the helmet in the correct position and not shifting. The helmet strap should always be in good condition, replace it when there is damage because if your helmet strap is not installed properly it will be very dangerous.

NHK Helmet Chinstrap has made through a series of tests on the manufacturing process. Using a special test machine to determine chinstrap retention resistance, the NHK chinstrap helmet straps remain secure even though it has passed a tensile test at some point, so the safety is ensured. Chinstrap on the helmet has of 2 types : Micromatic Buckle Strap is often found on a daily helmet and Double D Ring Strap is usually used for racing helmets.

8. SECURITY STANDARD

NHK helmet is produce with the best material that has been adjusted with high security standards, in addition NHK helmets have also been through several tests and product testing, so that NHK helmets have passed the test and already approved by SNI, DOT ECE and some NHK helmets have met the SNELL standard.

With the certification / standardization that has been obtained by NHK helmets both from Indonesia and International, it is certain that NHK helmet is a safe, comfortable and no doubt for the quality.
